Onwards Destinations

Every year, Libra students go on to win places at some of the most famous universities in the world. From Cambridge to Harvard and everywhere in-between our students embody our values of excellence and freedom when taking up their places at top-tanked institutions.

  • Over 150 applications annually to universities around the world.

  • 95% of our students win a place at one of Oxford, Cambridge, UCL, LSE or Imperial College.

  • Our careers counsellors meet parents and students as much as needed over the application cycle.

  • University applications in the UK are primarily managed through a centralized system called UCAS (Universities and Colleges Admissions Service). Applicants can choose up to 5 courses (at one or more universities). It’s important to research entry requirements, course content, location, and university reputation. The application process typically starts at the beginning of the final year of secondary education (Year 13). We work very closely with the student to submit all the required paperwork well ahead of the deadlines and ensure they present a strong application.

  • Universities look for a combination of academic ability, relevant experience, and genuine interest in the subject. What they value most depends on the course and university, but here are the key things they typically consider: a true passion for the subject, academic aptitude, and commitment.

  • Libra Education Consultants are experts in the field. Our international team has years of experience helping students secure places at top universities, mainly in the UK, but also in different countries like the US, Australia, Singapore and Canada.

  • Meeting your consultant regularly is essential to guarantee that communication flows. Most students meet the consultants weekly, but if timetables are tight, different arrangements can be made.

  • Yes, work experience can be important—but how important it is depends on the course and university you're applying to. We normally advise our students to do volunteer for different projects in their areas. This shows awareness of their environment and social issues, but also commitment to their community.

  • Libra Education specialises in UK applications, but we have processed applications in many different countries like Australia, the US, New Zealand, Singapore and Canada.

  • Yes, some UK universities and courses require admission tests, especially for competitive or professional degrees. Whether you need to take one depends on the course and the university you're applying to.

  • Whether you'll need to attend an interview for a UK university depends on the course and the university. Most competitive courses like medicine, teaching or social work will likely require an interview before acceptance. Oxford and Cambridge Universities will almost always require an interview too.
