Joining Our School

We like to keep procedures simple. That is why we designed a straightforward admissions process that is clear, personal and easy to access.

Many of our students join us for the flexibility that we provide and so we tailor the schooling experience to meet their needs. It only makes sense that our admissions process takes the same approach. Throughout this process we will take the time to listen to you and your requirements and base any admissions decisions on a collaborative discussion.

    • Speak with us to explain your requirements and explore the Libra Online School in detail.

    • Complete an online application form giving us the basic information we may need to assess your application fairly.

    • Upload the required documents: academic transcripts, school reports or diplomas, and standardised test scores. Additional documents like IDs may be required.

    • A placement test is required to accurately assess the student’s level.

    • Language proficiency tests may be needed for non-native speakers of English.

    • We conduct virtual interviews via video conferencing with both students and parents. This step helps assess the applicant’s motivation, goals, and readiness for online learning.

    • We will use the information gathered from interviews, tests and submitted documents to make an admissions decision.

    • Upon acceptance, students confirm their enrollment by signing an agreement and paying one month’s fee as a deposit (please refer to our section on Fees for more information).

    • Course selection and orientation details are provided.

    • Students and parents will receive login credentials for our learning platforms.

    • Orientation sessions guide students on how to use the online portal, submit assignments, and communicate with their teachers.

    • Students may have hard copies of course books delivered to their home address depending on the date they join and their course preferences. Most families choose a fully digital approach with access solely to eBooks.

    • Students begin coursework according to the academic calendar.

    • Online support, tutoring, and academic counselling services are provided throughout the year.

    • The academic year starts in September and ends in June. Unlike most institutions, students may start their course at any point throughout the year.

Admissions Criteria

  • Digital Competancy

    The Libra Online School exists in a digital world and our students need to be confident and comfortable using our computers and our online teaching platform. No advanced computing skills area required, but basic digital competency is essential.

  • Language Ability

    Lessons at the Libra Online School are delivered primarily in English. In order to join our programmes, students are expected to hold a B2 Level (CEFR). Students with a lower language level will receive support in the form of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) lessons.

  • Behaviour

    Learners are expected to show up to class, work independently, complete homework in a timely manner and show respect towards our staff. Behaviour in class in monitored and reported to parents, with disciplinary action applied whenever necessary.

  • Circumstances

    The Libra Online School will always try to accommodate students with special circumstances, whatever those may be. Most of our families have tight schedules because of business trips, professional sports competitions or health-related issues.

  • Aptitude

    Our regular assessments ensure all students within the a year group achieve the same level of skills and knowledge. Maturity, independence and commitment are essential for this, and so learners will have the opportunity to demonstrate their aptitude in different ways.
